Blurb of August

I'm learning to trust the process of life lately. I have been working on my physical health while trying to balance that priority with serving Jehovah first. It has been difficult, too. I have made a couple of new friends in my local congregation. I have lost 6 lbs, and I plan to keep going. I have been doing water aerobics and swimming with the new friends I have made. We went to a new pool while our pool was getting worked on, drained, and cleaned. I recently injured my left knee and need to see an orthopedic about it. Hopefully, after an MRI and some physical therapy, I can return to the pool soon. I went to the Emergency Room, but they only gave me an X-ray and found that I had some arthritis in my left knee. Oh great. 37 years old and I'm already falling apart. However, I have had a couple of knee injuries, so that is not surprising.

We also threw a surprise party for my sister in-law for her 30 years of full-time service. It was a big secret, and we did a good job getting phone numbers and invites out in time. We had a play for the 10 plagues by the children in the Kingdom Hall. It was very funny and accurate. I recorded the whole thing and took plenty of pictures. There was food served, a DJ, and dancing later. We had a blast. We're so proud of her for her sacrifice to serve Jehovah, and we know Jehovah God is proud, too.

We had the 50th annual Fish Fry. It was very nice and encouraging to get to associate with the friends. There is a family that holds it once a year. It was a couple of weeks ago, and they served fresh-cooked fish and other cooked meats, hamburgers, fried chicken, and more. We love going every year. My husband took off from work to attend the event with me. We even had some guests who attended to see the Christian love that we show to one another (John 13:35, NWT ). I hope it moves them to study with Jehovah's Witnesses, and it's their choice, no pressure.

I also got a couple in my congregation a gift for their anniversary. Their anniversary is a month from ours. I got them some cute T-shirts and a couple of figurines to match her home decor. I just love giving things to the friends, and while I didn't get to see their smiles, I know their hearts melt. I attended the meeting virtually because of my knee injury. Lately, I have been in deep thought about my service to Jehovah and how I can improve it and be consistent with it. The blessing I had was that I got to conduct a Bible study with a relative, and that has brought me joy. It was my first time and I was very nervous. I have been on Bible studies, but I haven't conducted one. I just want to please Jehovah and bring Him honor. I also want my relative to grow in her love for Jehovah.

It has been a busy month full of blessings and minor setbacks. I was supposed to visit my home state, but I had been working hard on my routine, and then I injured myself. So hopefully things work out next month. This month is a blurb of my life events. I hope to have a better theme for September. Thank you for reading if you made it this far. Love you all. Agape.
